The Sampson


 

The Sampson
This early steam locomotive was built in Durham England in 1838. It was shipped to Nova Scotia in 1939 by the General Mining Association. The Samson 
is the oldest existing locomotive in Canada.  It ran from e Albion mines, which is now the town of Stellarton, to Dunbar Point (Abercrombie Point),
Nova Scotia, about 10 miles. It is currently on display at the  Nova Scotia Museum of Industry in Stellarton, Nova Scotia

 
 
Also found at the Nova Scotia Museum of Industry in Stellarton, Nova Scotia is this Baldwin Steam Locomotive. It was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works, Philadelphil PA in 1917. It was used at the Dominiln Steel and Coal Company, Trenton, Nova Scotia
